K.C.Darwin
CEO - UNIRPSA Dynamic Engineer with around 36 years experience comprising Commissioning and O&M of Thermal Power Plants( Both conventional Coal Fired and Combined Cycle Power Plants) and in the O&M of Petro chemical plants. Initially started career as a C&I Engineer in reputed Petro Chemical plants both in India as well as abroad and later moved to M/S Toshiba Group companie's Thermal Power Division.
Past 23 years involved in Commissioning of many Thermal Power plants in India, Far east and Middle East. Have commissioned timely many Sub critical and Super Critical conventional Coal fired Power Plants/ Combined Cycle Power Plants during this period and also successfully carried out warranty service for the commissioned Projects with extended O&M support service.
During the long tenure in Power projects, achieved many mile stones of successful and timely completion of Power projects against many hurdles. Supported Customers during critical time of unplanned outages to bring back the unit's at the earliest. Highlighted many projects customers regarding importance of upgrading their system to meet the faced challenges and implemented also. Advised and supported customers regarding the spares optimisation and upkeeping, outage and Maintenance planning which includes scheduling.
As Training of Plant operators and O&M personnel is an important aspect which will enable them to operate plant safely and efficiently, conducted many training courses for various customers.
About us
Presently, the demand for the Power is raising many fold but at same time the installed capacity is not keeping in track resulting in big gap in demand versus availability. At this scenario, it is highly imperative that the existing plants need to have a high availability factor and PLF which requires stringent O&M technique to have a reliable plant operation with minimum downtime. Also new up coming plants mostly are lagging in the planned schedule during many phases of the project and in order to gain some of the time lost to achieve the target projection completion date, Commissioning activities has to be optimised without compromising safety, Quality, the mandatory checks and tests.
